School Uniform

At St Maxentius we are proud to wear our uniform and we wear it with pride.

We have adopted a uniform for a number of reasons:

  • to help children look smart and recognisable

  • to develop a sense of belonging, family and pride

  • practical and to ensure children are dressed appropriately for the different demands of the school day

  • equality and contribute to a child’s wellbeing removing additional pressures of deciding what to wear and the stress of expectations from peers

  • great value for money for parents

  • positive attitude by setting a working environment mindset, learning the importance of dressing for success

We are fully aware of rising living costs for families and appreciate that uniform can add to this pressure. We would like to make you aware of a few options to help families reduce these costs:

Second Hand Uniform

Volunteers from our ‘Friends of St Maxentius’ (FoSM) parent group collect uniform with the school logo on them, that are used but in good condition. This uniform is then sold at regular sales throughout the year for a fraction of the cost, with all proceeds going to school funds. Please hand in any unwanted logo items to the school office and look out for forthcoming sales in the school newsletter.

Contact the school

You can contact any member of staff at the school to supplement your child’s uniform with donated items.
