At Key Stage 2, a scaled score of 100 was the expected level of attainment and 110 was considered as high attainment .

Progress was measured from starting point i.e. KS1 and by comparing each child with their average points score. In 2017, a negative progress score was considered acceptable  and schools were above floor standards if their scores were at least -5 in reading, -5 in maths and -7 in writing.
